To turn on Push Notifications for your Universal App the first thing you need to do is create a Firebase app. We’ve made a quick and easy guide to help you with this – check out here.

After you’ve set up your Firebase app, log in to Universal App. Once you’re logged in, head to Settings > Push Notifications.

Click Sign in with Google.

IMPORTANT! You will be asked to log in to Firebase and allow permissions using your Google account. Please do so in the next step.

Please also be advised, if you’re sharing your Universal App admin access with other people, you will have to invite or share permission on your Firebase account to the people using your UA admin account.

After that, you will be redirected back to Universal App admin.

There will be a list of Firebase apps related to your email address if you have more than one – make sure to choose the right one. Please note – this can only be done in regular browsers. It will not work in private mode/incognito.

You can set up Firebase pair key if you have another push notification provider – this is optional.

Your Universal App is now connected to Firebase! Click Launch Firebase to set up Push Notifications for your Universal App – which you can find a quick guide here.
