How to manage your content across Universal App and MagLoft Mobile Apps

I already have MagLoft mobile apps, do I need to create all of my issues again on Universal App? Is there a way to manage them in one place?

If you are an existing user of our MagLoft Mobile Apps product, and just recently signed up for our Universal App product as well, you may be wondering: how do I manage my content across both products? Do I need to recreate all of my issues from the Mobile Apps platform to get them to Universal App?

The answer is no! We do have a very simple way for you to manage your content and make them available on both platforms.

First things first, to clarify, only HTML issues can be used for our Universal App. If your current issues are PDF, then you will need to either convert the issue to HTML, or create one from scratch using our TypeLoft editor. We do offer a conversion service for Universal App, and you can simply upload the PDF file you'd like to convert in the Universal App portal (the first 25 pages are free from us!) - make sure your PDF follows this requirement.

If your issues in the MagLoft Mobile Apps portal are already created with our TypeLoft editor, then you can simply follow these steps to make them available in your Universal App:

  1. Go to Content > Issues and click on the issue that you'd like to make available in the Universal App:

  2. Once you open the issue settings, scroll down until you can find Advanced Settings, and open the Allowed Platforms:

  3. Select "Pwa" make the issue available on your Universal App (selected platforms will have a blue background):

That's all! All issues with the "Pwa" selected platform will also appear on your Universal App so you don't have to recreate the same issue again.
