With the latest update to MagLoft Classic, publishers now have the flexibility to sell content outside of traditional subscriptions. This new feature lets you decide whether single-issue purchases are included in a subscription or require separate purchases.
Setting Up Single Issue Purchases
Access Your Publisher Dashboard:
Log in to your MagLoft Classic account.
Navigate to the Content Section:
Click on the "Issues" tab to view your list of issues.
Select the Issue You Want to Configure:
Choose the specific issue you want to set as a single-issue purchase.
Configure Purchase Options:
In the issue settings, you will find an option labeled "Unlock Type."
Set the unlock type to Paid. Your changes will be saved automatically.
Configure In-App Products in App Stores
Add your issue as an in-app product in Google and Apple stores by following this help article.
Setting Up Subscription Options
Navigate to Sales Tab:
Open the App Subscriptions option under the Sales Tab to access your subscription plans.
Edit Your Subscription:
Select an existing subscription plan or create a new one.
Change the Unlock Type Option:
Navigate to the Unlock Type option and select Unlock Subscribe Issue. This ensures that subscribers will only unlock issues set to unlock with a subscription. Issues set to Paid will require separate purchases.
Important Considerations
Subscription Access: If you choose to exclude a single issue from the subscription, subscribers will need to purchase it separately, even if they have access to other issues.
Content Access: Issues made available via subscriptions will remain in readers' accounts even if the unlock type is later changed to Paid after a reader has unlocked it.
