If you have an active iOS app in iTunes Connect, at some point you will receive an email with such notice below. The email looks very alarming and it sounds like a problem has occurred within your account that will affect your app under some circumstances. No need to worry! This is rarely the case.

You will receive this kind of email under the conditions below:

  • After an app is republished
  • After a request to renew a push notification certificate

When we're renewing push notifications—either because the certificate has expired or the notifications are failing to come through—we have to revoke the existing push notification certificate in order to create a new one. We also carry out this process when submitting app updates.

There's no need to contact Apple in response to these emails. If you begin to notice problems with push notification delivery, then definitely reach out to us here at MagLoft and we will look further into it right away.
