"Do you support push notifications?" is one of the most frequently asked questions we receive, and we get why. No matter what content you offer to your readers, push notifications is one of the most powerful feature to communicate and engage your readers if you have an app.

How do you set up your push notifications then? Easy!

To access this setting, you can simply go to your portal. The Push Notification settings are listed on the left side of the page within the Features section:

There are two different ways you can set up your push notifications using MagLoft. The first one background download push notifications. This is the setting you use if you want a specific issue to be downloaded to your readers' devices.

To activate this set up, select the check box “Start downloading issue on user devices”. This will make the text box above inactive as no actual text message is sent when you send a background download push notification. 

On the lower box that says 'Issue to Re-download', you will be required to select which issue you want to start downloading on your readers devices.

The other option would be for you to set up a regular push notifications. For this, you can simply write your message in the message box. You will also be asked to type your target URL for the message:

That is all! There are no limits to how many push notifications you get, you can set up as many as you'd like. Such an easy way to increase your readers' engagement, right? ;)
